Isla

It's always cool to see photos of weddings that took place in a personally relevant setting. I was so excited when I stumbled across this wedding from Heather of One Love Photo. I grew up spending most Christmas vacations on Isla Mujeres and Mr. Diagnosis Deferred and I celebrated his 30th birthday there in November. We even spent a few days at the very location of this wedding.
Heather takes a phenomenal photo, be sure to check out the rest of her blog as well.
This last photo is not technically from the wedding, but I couldn't help myself. I love a tiny dog in clothes.

Just a peek...

My invitation sets are being letterpressed as we speak and I.am.so.excited.
As you may know, the invitations have been one of the most important, most stress inducing, meltdown causing, budget reconfiguring portions of this entire wedding.
I came into the whole arrangement with a pretty specific vision of what I wanted, I just needed the right person at the right price. I searched high and low and almost gave up a few times... but I eventually discovered that... she exists!
Her name is Krista and she runs PaperedTogether studio. She is my favorite gal of the moment. Much more about her and my invites soon. Til then, here's a peek at the envelopes!
By the way, when she was unable to find the perfect envelope liner for one particularly neurotic and super-picky customer (yeah, I'm speaking of myself), Krista decided to create and custom print them. Yeah, she's that good.

More silhouette love

By now my silhouette obsession should be clear, no?
Check out this pillow! I heart it.
No baby? No worries! They can create one where him plus her equals a fur baby.

A custom dress, oh my!

Can you imagine? Your very own custom dress! Look what I stumbled upon on the always reliable etsy.

Katie Jean of the shop ktjean on will create for you for anywhere between $250-$1500. She can recycle a vintage gown or even combine peices from different ensembles to create a single gown.

I'm dying over those ruffles, these are my kind of dresses.

How fabulous?

I'm loving this design by Keg Designs. Kelly created the set for her own wedding and I am swooning. The colors are nothing that I would have ever thought of.... but I love them!
Oh, she's also got an awesome blog. Check it out!

Whole set here.

Pom love.

These paper pomanders from this amazing wedding featured on the Style Me Pretty Blog, made my heart skip a beat. They're inspiring me to hang some above my candy buffet table, in my colors, of course. Talk about an affordable and totally fun decoration!

As far as I'm concerned,

Zooey can do no wrong. Further proof.
How adorable is she?

Bill Maher

Sometimes he takes things too far.
Exhibit A: his Steve Irwin Halloween costume. Not cool.
Other times, he is exactly right.
Exhibit B: Religulous. Very cool and so true...

Cake on the brain.

Don't know why I'm thinking so much about cake these days... Perhaps it's my debilitating addiction to sugar coupled with my pre-wedding attempt to cut way back on it. Anyway, I'm loving the simplicity of this one.

Shrug it off....

I am being married by my uncles, both of whom are Catholic priests. Though it's not a general requirement of the church where we're being married, they have insisted since early on that my shoulders be covered. They can be covered with something, and I quote, "as thin as a spaghetti strap, just as long as they are covered." Well, since I haven't worn spaghetti straps since 1995, I decided this was not the time to bring them back. I am still on the hunt for the perfect little bridal shrug.

Could this be it?From englishdept on Etsy.

Ranunclus love.

I can't say their name to save my life, but I sure do heart them. Janie of The Bride's Cafe got me thinking about them. It's photos like these that have me re-thinking my all-white flower idea...
