It's not quite spring, and I've lost him...

There is an endless list of things that winter is not good for; my mood, my coloring, my wardrobe, my weight. But I'm happy to overlook the entire list, because winter is good for evenings and weekends full of Mr. Diagnosis Deferred. We sleep in and take road trips and traipse through the city. We meet friends for brunch, catch up on netflix and stay out until very late if we want to. It's perfect.
Then comes March 15th... and golf season. And rain or shine, he's gone. Vanished. Poof! Friday afternoons, Saturdays and Sundays are all about smacking the $hit out of a silly little ball. It's enough to give a girl a complex.
I am a golf widow before I've even become a golf bride.

Maybe you can use the extra time to work on your career change! :)

I'm so excited to be a Wedding Chicks blogger too! We're the only ones doing it in NYC!

Ahhhh. I'm so there! The name "Tiger" has already been mentioned more times in the past few days than my poor dog's name. And then after golf season we are into football. We only really get January-March. It's sad, really.

I could say I am a "cycling" widow but lucky for me the chain on The Aussie's bike is broken and lucky for him I picked up on the sport as well. But I was SO MAD when I put my bike on the indoor trainer to do some cycling in prep for Spring/Summer riding - he didn't put the seat back down to my height after he used it (we have the same bike size, but the adjustments are different)! I told this to a girlfriend of mine who likened it to him not putting the toilet seat down.
