A yellow wedding dress?

I say "oh hell yes."

Isla

It's always cool to see photos of weddings that took place in a personally relevant setting. I was so excited when I stumbled across this wedding from Heather of One Love Photo. I grew up spending most Christmas vacations on Isla Mujeres and Mr. Diagnosis Deferred and I celebrated his 30th birthday there in November. We even spent a few days at the very location of this wedding.
Heather takes a phenomenal photo, be sure to check out the rest of her blog as well.
This last photo is not technically from the wedding, but I couldn't help myself. I love a tiny dog in clothes.

Reason #419928 that my photographer is a bad-ass

He's much more than just a wedding photographer... In fact, he's just returned from a trip to a leper colony in Ethopia where he took stunning photos.

The way we were.

I've already told you about The Commons, on Flickr. I'm hoping you've had a chance to head over. Clearly, the New York Public Library's collection is my favorite collection.
Here are two shots of the South Street Seaport, the location of our reception.

Tuesday inspiration

I am completely enamored by old photographs. So, you can imagine my delight when I stumbled across The Commons on flickr thanks to Amanda of Peony::Love. I literally placed my hand over my mouth and let out a squeal.
Essentially, the project has two objectives; to increase access to publicly-held photography collections, and to provide a way for the general public to contribute information and knowledge. It is a huge public photography archive. I suggest you pour yourself a glass of wine and get to searching, there are so many brilliant photos to be discovered.

Photo idea

This photo was featured on oncewed.com. I can't decide whether it's better done during the engagement session or on the day of...
Either way, it's such a wonderful idea and I'm shamlessly stealing it.
